#116 Beach Bag

Over the weekend I brought out the watercolors and decided to sketch up and paint my next project.  The Beach Bag. I am heading to Mexico in a couple of weeks and I am in desperate need of a new beach bag.  I made myself one last year and it was good but this year I want it to be great!

While I am down there I will mostly likely be wearing some of my Spring 2012 collection. There is no black in this collection so I didn’t want to have any black in my beach bag.  I am still out on the prowl for the perfect fabric but I think I have a good idea of what I am looking for.

I got started on the pattern yesterday and will be sewing up the first muslin today. If I have time I am going to head into the city to pick up the fabric.  I will be making two bags, one for my sister and one for myself.

I am not sure about you guys but my sisters and I tend to wear a lot of the same things.  It is like when you were a kid and your mom would put you all in the same outfit.  That is what we are like but as grown ups.  So if you ever see me with my sisters we will most likely be wearing the same thing.
